I dont think they are going to hardly touch googles market on this, I feel google has it going on as far as search and their other technologies. I myself am getting the G1 here soon am looking forward to it.

Does any one else think Bing seems most similar to the search enhancements Ask.com has brougt to market already?

The whole tech industry needs a strong #2 player in search to emerge. Hopefully Microsoft and Yahoo will join forces and crank up the competitive pressure for Google.

I like Mac's Bong name idea.

Lousy name (as expected) but it could be worse. Two clicks later and I find myself at:

decisionengine.com

and I bet that's what the old-school branding people at MS were about to call it before some upstart suggested the shorter name.

I would have called it Bong. Certainly they are smoking something if they think people are going to switch any time soon.

But of course if people DO switch in large numbers the antitrust suit will make history. Bang!

One of the great feature of bing is auto compete feature, which is similar to Google, though being a blogger I would like to see some quality result from
Bing rather then people who game SEO and come at the the top of Google Search result. Lets hope for something new and useful this time from Microsoft

So, they are rolling out the new service over a number of days. But rather than a "coming soon" or a simple redirect to www.live.com, they serve up a blank, white page when you try to access www.bing.com. I'm in the UK, using Firefox on a Mac, and unlikely to go back to Bing come Wednesday. Great launch strategy!
