>Walt dismisses it as a geek app

Thunderbird is the same thing my dad has been using since Netscape Communicator. Maybe Walt has heard of it. TB is a generic email client, looks and feels like every other email client. If you've used Eudora, Outlooks or any other, you should have no problems.
A couple of windows panes, click on the emai you want it opens in the other window pane.
How its a geek app is beyond me.
Whenever I install Linux on someone's computer, I check if they use webmail or a pop3 account and counting my folks, aunts, uncles, inlaws and so on, there is about 7-8 of them
who are in their 70's who are using TB. My aunt, mother in law and my mom had never touched a computer before in their lives and they know how to use the darn thing.
Wait till I tell them it makes them geeks now.

And what the heck was "Is Firefox responsible for Google’s market dominance?"
???

Asking Walt to question open saucers is like asking Ellen the secrets to pleasing a man.
They sort of know what theyre talking about but you sorta get the feeling they dont.
