D7 Video: Plastic Logic E-Reader

When it comes to e-book readers, the Kindle’s not the only game in town–Silicon Valley-based Plastic Logic will introduce its product next year. Today, CEO Richard Archuleta and Product Manager Anusha Nirmalananthan gave D7 attendees a sneak peek at the device.

  • I hope they'll have a card reader in the final version - I have a whole pile of training manuals in pdf form that I'd like to be able to carry around with me.
  • Cool concept. It 'would' lighten the load (from paper) if you had a lot of documents. But it 'seemed' very slow to react to the touch instructions (like turning the page, etc.) Searching through paper documents would be faster (for me anyway). What's the battery life?? What's the interface? (to download docs). What format? lots of unanswered questions (not to mention the vagueness at the price :-(

    But I LIKE the concept (good idea)!! :-)
